California workers’ compensation will pay for telemedicine visits. Providers should bill with an office visit code 99211 to 99215 with modifier 95. However, the place of service for California workers’ compensation claims would remain 11.

Also, they have added the following codes for reimbursement via telehealth 97110 therapeutic exercise, 97112 neuromuscular reeducation, 97116 gait training and 97535 for &  ADL instruction.

Providers can bill for telehealth visits at the same rate as in-person visits.
